"In co-design, we understand we need to design with people that we're going to serve. It is a very effective way of collaborating with your audience."
She also discussed our field research in Antakya following the earthquake, where we spent two weeks listening to over 50 locals, social workers, and a psychologist before a single design decision was made. As Pinar put it, "we always say start with the people, and people kind of guide you in how you should do the rest." It is a project that continues to remind us that listening is never a detour — it is the work itself.
