How might we support families in hybrid work life?

Family Pockets
New York, USA

Working mothers manage diverse, complex, and fluctuating responsibilities while caring for their children and themselves, in addition to fulfilling professional and domestic work.  In the present and post-pandemic world, there is unimaginable pressure on working mothers to transform their routines and their homes to accommodate extreme constraints of space, time, and other resources.

We present Family Pockets, a kit of activities that integrates everyday objects and home surroundings to support families in creating opportunities to bond, communicate and collaborate. The kit is inspired by conversations and co-designing with a group of mothers and their children.
